Denise lives in Ventura County, California with her husband and their dog. She is retired and now finally able to pursue her lifelong passion of painting and creating in her home art studio. Denise began her painting career at an early age. In fact, when she was in kindergarten and grade school, while the other kids were doing finger paintings, Denise painted portraits and landscapes, and her paintings were hung in the Principal's office. She always knew being an artist is what she would be when she grew up and no one questioned that, it was expected, and she continued to pursue Art ardently in High school and College.
But alas, one day she found herself a divorced single mother of a 5-year-old adorable boy and out of necessity changed her career course. Then for the next 28 years she worked for the Department of Defense/Navy. The job was rewarding and enabled her to travel the globe and meet many new and cherished friends, however, her heart still longed to be an artist.
